National Organ Transplant Games 2026

Official Launch & Torch Lighting Ceremony

The National Organ Transplant Games 2026 was officially launched with the Torch Lighting Ceremony on Friday, 20 March 2026, at Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi. Initially named the Delhi Transplant Games 2026, the event was renamed the National Organ Transplant Games 2026 following the suggestion of our esteemed guests, reflecting its national vision and participation.

The ceremony was inaugurated by:

  • Padma Shri Prof. D.S. Rana - Chairman, Board of Trustees, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital
  • Padma Shri Prof. A.K. Bhalla - Secretary, Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and HOD, Department of Nephrology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

The event was attended by eminent transplant surgeons and healthcare leaders, including:

  • Dr. Baldev Singh Aulakh - Founder President, Gift of Life Organ Donation Awareness Society (GLODAS); Chairman & Director, Aykai Hospital, Ludhiana
  • Dr. Sunil Shroff - Founder & Managing Trustee, MOHAN Foundation; Senior Consultant Urologist & Transplant Surgeon
  • Dr. Ajay Swaroop - Chairman, Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
  • Dr. Shruti Tapiawala - Nephrologist and Transplant Physician, Gleneagles Hospitals, Mumbai
  • Dr. Narayan Prasad - HOD, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow
  • Dr. Anil Kumar - Director, National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India

The launch ceremony brought together renowned transplant surgeons, healthcare leaders, policymakers, and organ donation advocates from across India, marking the official beginning of the National Organ Transplant Games 2026.

Dear Sir,

With reference to the trailing email, I am pleased to inform you that the Competent Authority of MoHFW, has accorded approval for allowing Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to use NOTTO logo and NOTTO as a technical partner while organizing the National Organ Transplant Games in November 2026.

Accordingly, you may display the NOTTO logo, Organ Donation Pledge Portal (notto.abdm.gov.in) and it's QR Code, NOTTO's official website (notto.mohfw.gov.in), and the NOTTO toll-free helpline details (1800-11-4770) on the banners, promotional material, awareness material, and other communication collateral prepared for the event. You are requested to share the above-mentioned materials with NOTTO as and when they are prepared.

There will be no administrative and financial involvement from NOTTO side and NOTTO will only play advisory (honorary) role and provide technical guidance. It is also advised to actively use this opportunity to spread the awareness about organ donation and increase online pledges for organ donation.
